With six players from IC08 and a number of students and Chinese nationals residing in Australia, the China Red Demons are optimistic about their IC11 campaign. They've spent the last year seriously focused on selection and training.
Realistic about their players’ limited experience -- playing footy and together as a team -- the Demons know it will be a tough competition against the more experienced sides, so have set their sights on playing in the Division 2 final.
However, they recogonise all teams are pretty new and hungry, promising an exciting tournament. Head Coach: Andrew Loechel Assistant Coach: Andrew Sawitsch

I am delighted to learn that a team from China will participate in the 2011 International AFL Cup in Sydney and Melbourne.
Sports is one of the best ways to connect peoples and bridge cultures. As a sports originating in Australia, Australian Football has been an integral part of the Australian culture. The Chinese team’s participation in the International Cup will help promote the popularity of Australian football in China and enhance sports exchanges between the two countries.
Though the Chinese team’s involvement in the Australian football has not been long, the Chinese players’ passion and persistence on the field will bring out the best of them. I am sure they will present exciting games in Australia.
I wish the Chinese team good luck and the 2011 International AFL Cup a great success
