UPDATE, 2.00 pm:
Trade Week is now concluded.
UPDATE, 1.59 pm:
The final pick in the 2011 version of trade week was a rather minor exchange between Richmond and Gold Coast.
The Tigers gave up an end of round one compensation pick (it was given to Adelaide as compensation for losing Nathan Bock to Gold Coast and then on-traded to Richmond for Richard Tambling).
In return, Richmond received a round two compensation pick (it was given to Port Adelaide as compo for losing Nathan Krakouer and then traded back to the Suns) and pick 26 in this year's NAB AFL Draft.
Both of the compensation pick can be used in any of the three drafts from 2012 to 2014.
UPDATE, 1.54 pm:
Essendon rookie ruckman Josh Jenkins has been bundled up with NAB AFL Draft selection No.41 and traded to Adelaide for his first crack at senior football.
The 22-year-old just ended his first season on the Bombers' rookie list and will begin his second in the AFL as a senior-listed player at the Crows.
The Crows used NAB AFL Draft selection No.31 to secure the Lake Boga native, which was on-traded from a previous deal.
The Bombers were reportedly keen to offer Jenkins a second year as a rookie.
Earlier in the week, the Crows traded ruckman Ivan Maric to Richmond, which opened up a spot on their list for a big man.
UPDATE, 1.47 pm:
St Kilda Irishman Tommy Walsh is off to the Sydney Swans without playing a senior game after the two clubs agreed to a trade on Monday.
In the final stages of the exchange period, the 23-year-old key position player found his way to the Swans for NAB AFL Draft selections No.35 and No.68, which were both on-traded from Adelaide as part of the Lewis Johnston-Tony Armstrong trade.
Walsh was drafted as a rookie at the end of 2009 and was elevated to the senior list for this season after finishing in the top 10 of VFL affiliate Sandringham's best and fairest.
He has played both back and forward, and kicked six goals against Collingwood in the VFL in August this year.
Earlier on Monday, new Saints coach Scott Watters told
afl.com.au
's Trade Week Radio that Walsh would not be traded.
UPDATE, 1.41 pm:
The deal to move Swan Lewis Johnston to Adelaide in return for Tony Armstrong is now official.
As reported on Saturday night, both players are returning to the states where they grew up.
The Swans also received NAB AFL Draft sections 35 and 68 as part of the deal.
Johnston was taken by the Swans with pick No.12 in the 2008 national draft.
A 193cm key-position prospect, he suffered a number of injuries during his first two seasons in Sydney.
However, the 20-year-old made his debut against North Melbourne midway through the 2011 season, playing one more game before the season finished.
Armstrong, meanwhile, was desperate to return to his native New South Wales following four trouble-plagued seasons in Adelaide.
In November last year, the Crows fined Armstrong $5000 and banned him from playing the first four games of the 2011 season after he was arrested for drink-driving.
The 22-year-old has played a total of 14 AFL games.
The Crows also traded a number of NAB AFL Draft picks with Gold Coast, giving the Suns pick No.24 and receiving 27, 31 and 68 in return.
UPDATE, 1.39 pm:
Adelaide will have an extra two selections in the NAB AFL Draft.
Adelaide traded its first round selection (No.24) to Gold Coast for picks 27, 31 and 68.
UPDATE, 1.12 pm:
Geelong has added an extra NAB AFL Draft pick to its collection, exchanging its first round pick (No.26) with the Suns' two second round picks (No.32 and 34).
UPDATE, 12.27pm:
Veteran Western Bulldogs ruckman Ben Hudson has been traded to the Brisbane Lions in exchange for NAB AFL Draft pick No.70.
The 32-year-old, who began his career at Adelaide, retired at the end of the season with 143 games to his name.
But after moving back to south-east Queensland - where he spent much of his youth - he has been convinced to play for one more year by the Lions.
UPDATE, 12.20pm:
Melbourne defender Matthew Warnock has joined Gold Coast as part of a three-way trade deal that also involved the Brisbane Lions.
The deal saw the Lions give pick No.52 in the NAB AFL Draft to the Demons.
In return, the Lions gained Queensland zone player Dayne Zorko (he was the captain of QAFL team Broadbeach in 2011) and pick No.47 from the Suns.
Gold Coast gained the Lions' second round pick (No.34).
Warnock will strengthen Gold Coast's defence in the club's second AFL season.
The 27-year-old has played 55 games for Melbourne since making his debut in 2006.
UPDATE, 11.55am:
Western Bulldogs forward Josh Hill has been traded to West Coast in exchange for a round three pick in the upcoming NAB AFL Draft.
The Eagles traded pick No.49 in the NAB AFL Draft, which was first held by GWS, then went to Port Adelaide before being passed on to West Coast.
Hill grew up in Western Australia and played for WAFL side Claremont before he was drafted by the Bulldogs in 2006.
He was a NAB AFL Rising Star nominee in 2008, but has fallen out of favour during the past two seasons.
The 22-year-old played only 12 matches in 2011, which took his career tally to 66.
UPDATE, 11.52am:
Brisbane Lions midfielder Luke Power has joined fellow veteran players Chad Cornes and Dean Brogan as the latest recruits at Greater Western Sydney.
The 31-year-old was traded to the Giants on Monday morning for NAB AFL Draft selection No.69, which was on-traded from Port Adelaide to the new club in the Cornes-Brogan deal.
With the trade met, the Giants will still have access to uncontracted Lions in 2012 as part of their list establishment rules, as they will with Power players.
Power retired from the Lions following their round-23 loss to West Coast after 282 AFL games.
He will turn 32 in January.
UPDATE, 11.49am:
Out-of-favour Richmond forward Mitch Morton has made his way to his third AFL home with the Sydney Swans offering him another chance to reinvigorate his career.
The 24-year-old was traded to the Swans for NAB AFL Draft selection No.79 just over two hours before Monday's 2pm deadline.
"Mitch kicked 41 goals for the Tigers a couple of seasons ago and was their leading goalkicker that year. He’s highly talented and still only 24 years old," Swans coach John Longmire said.
"We think Mitch can play forward and also go through the midfield at times. He'll add depth to our side and give us more firepower."
Morton played 71 games for West Coast and Richmond after being drafted by the Eagles in 2004 via the father-son rule. He was then traded to the Tigers at the end of 2007.
He managed just nine senior games in 2011 and stood down from the club mid-season for personal reasons.
UPDATE, 11.16am:
Collingwood has picked up Cairns 18-year-old Peter Yagmoor for next to nothing.
The Magpies sent NAB AFL Draft pick 47 to Gold Coast in exchange for the young midfielder, who had been listed by the Suns as a Queensland zone selection, plus pick 50.
Yagmoor was among 120 draft hopefuls at the recent NAB AFL Draft Combine with the 180cm prospect boasting a penetrating left-foot kick and clean hands.
UPDATE, 10.58am:
Mitch Clark is officially a Melbourne player after the paperwork was lodged just over three hours before Monday's deadline.
As expected, the 23-year-old was traded to the Demons from the Brisbane Lions for the first-round NAB AFL Draft selection of No.12.
Before the paperwork went through, Clark held a press conference at his new club and explained the Demons' professionalism and haste at completing the deal had much to do with why he chose them over Fremantle, who was the front-runner for the former Lion's services for much of the trade period.
Clark initially said he wanted to return to Western Australia for personal reasons.
UPDATE, 10:52am:
Port Adelaide has pulled off its biggest deal of Trade Week by securing West Coast midfielder Brad Ebert.
As part of the deal, the Eagles also gave their round two selection (pick No.45) to the Power, while Port Adelaide handed over its end-of-round-one priority pick (No.28) and its round three selection (No.49), which came from Greater Western Sydney as part of the deal that took Dean Brogan and Chad Cornes to the Giants).
Boasting one of South Australia's most famous football surnames (his uncle, Russell Ebert, is an SA footy legend), Ebert was recruited by West Coast with pick No.13 in the 2007 NAB AFL Draft, and has played 76 games since making his debut in 2008.
Born and raised in South Australia, the 21-year-old went public with his desire to return home after West Coast lost the preliminary final to Geelong.
Ebert played 22 games for the Eagles in 2011, but he was dropped from the team after the qualifying final loss to Collingwood.
UPDATE, 10.42am:
Port Adelaide pair Chad Cornes and Dean Brogan are officially on their way to Greater Western Sydney after the two clubs struck a deal mid-morning.
The veteran pair "retired" from the Power this season but were sounded out by the Giants as experienced and hardened players to complement their young group.
Despite the Power's initial reluctance to deal with the Giants in an attempt to force them to take one of the two as a contracted player - which would remove the Giants' ability to poach one next year - they came to an agreement for NAB AFL Draft selection No.49 on Monday.
The Giants will also receive pick No.69 with the two players.
UPDATE, 10.42am:
Hawthorn has received pre-listed player Jarrad Boumann from GWS in exchange for pick 56.
Boumann is a key defender who played for Box Hill in 2011.
He was on the Western Bulldogs' list between 2007 and 2010, but never played a senior game.
UPDATE, 10.30am:
Hawthorn has on-traded the pick 29 it received from the Brisbane Lions for Jordan Lisle to Fremantle, along with picks 58 and 71, in exchange for picks 38 and 56.
The Hawks tweeted, "More to come on what this is about."
