Field manual
Formerly known as Football Park, AAMI Stadium has been hosting Australian Football matches since the early 1970s. The first match played on May 4, 1974 between Central District and North Adelaide. AAMI Stadium is home to both Adelaide Crows and Port Adelaide, and is a key venue for both clubs, with capacity often reached to provide visiting teams with an intimidating atmosphere in which to try and find a result. The showdown, when both Adelaide teams face-off against each other, is traditionally the venues biggest day each season.
Getting there
Bus
A purpose-built bus terminal outside AAMI Stadium is serviced by buses from the city and across the suburbs on match days. Goolwa Bus and Coach provides a transport service to the stadium for every AFL Premiership game from the Fleurieu Peninsula.
Car
On Friday nights and Sundays there's plenty of car parking available at the West Lakes Mall across from AAMI Stadium. Saturday afternoon fixtures can be a problem, when the shoppers are competing for spots, so the bus would be the better option.
