In 2011, AFL.com.au brings you Footy Feast – a one hour live news program about all things footy. Featuring interviews with footy’s biggest names, Footy Feast uncovers the news, opinions and action from the greatest game in the world. Produced by Crocmedia and broadcast live each weekday between 12-1pm AEST, Footy Feast is hosted by the likes of Damian Barrett and Terry Wallace – it's the perfect way to stay in touch with the game while sitting at your desk!
Footy Feast host Cameron Luke is well known to listeners in Melbourne and throughout regional Australia. Cameron has had stints covering AFL and sport on Melbourne sports station SEN as well as working throughout regional Australia with ACE Radio.
Terry Wallace needs no introduction. The three-time premiership champ from Hawthorn, who played 254 games (with stints at Richmond and the Western Bulldogs) and won four best and fairest awards, became one of the game’s most innovative coaches after his playing days, taking the Doggies from cellar dwellers to premiership contenders before a five-year stint as coach at Richmond. Wallace is one of the game’s best media performers and has worked at Channel 7, 3AW, SEN, Fox Sports and the Herald Sun, providing his unique insight into the game for fans everywhere.
A recipient of the prestigious Alf Brown Award for excellence in football journalism, Damian Barrett is perhaps the best newsbreaker in the business. Barrett’s CV includes stints as a senior football reporter at Brisbane’s Courier Mail and Melbourne’s Herald Sun, where he won countless major awards, before he was hired by Channel Nine’s The Footy Show to lead their news team alongside Craig Hutchison. With a knack for uncovering major stories, Barrett brings to Footy Feast an intimate understanding of the personalities and people that shape the issues surrounding the game.
Wayne Schwass made his mark as a silky skilled wingman who helped make life easy for Wayne Carey and other North Melbourne forwards. Swatta was an integral component during the Denis Pagan era in building the Kangaroos into one of the great powers in AFL history. His hardness at the ball and relish for the contest rounded Schwass as a skilful, fearless, courageous player. Swatta brings to Footy Feast a wealth of knowledge, coupling his on-field achievements with premierships and best and fairest awards, with his off-field understanding of the modern footy environment.
