The game is mostly centred in the state of West Bengal with some presence in the states of Kerala and Maharashtra. Half the team is made up of resident Indians with the other comprised of Indians in Melbourne.
With a big investment from the players’ own pockets, AFLI has done everything to spread the game to different parts of India. Their love and passion for the sport has been infectious with camps organised in Kerala and Maharashtra.
Despite the diffiulty to get funding for sports, AFLI hope all their efforts will soon see the establishment of an Indian league.

Srinath Paravatham Lakshmaiya While doing his Masters in the UK, Srinath represented the South Cardiff Panthers during their two winning (2009-2010). He has also played against different clubs in Europe.
Vishnu Rishi Vishnu has been playing footy since he was eight years old and played his junior footy at the Mentone Tigers in Victoria. He is a right-footed midfielder but often plays in half-back or wing. He was a member of the Indian team in IC08 and also the captain of 2010/2011 Harmony Cup team.
