NSW/ACT and Tasmania were both big winners as the 2008 NAB AFL Under 16 Championships kicked off on the Gold Coast today.

Trailing at half time, NSW/ACT piled on 11 goals to one in the second half to run out strong 54 point winners.

In the other Division Two match, Tasmania led at every change to score a comfortable 65 point victory over home side Queensland.

The Division One competition commences tomorrow with Vic Metro clashing with Western Australia, while Vic Country play South Australia. The first match will start at 11am at Broadbeach.
