BACKS
David Wirrpanda (West Coast Eagles) – One of his side's best against Melbourne, providing his renowned run and poise from defensive 50. Claimed an equal game-high nine rebounds and also landed four inside 50s.

Chris Tarrant (Fremantle) – The oft-maligned forward-turned-defender was outstanding against Carlton full-forward Brendan Fevola, who managed just one major and five touches after booting eight goals against Hawthorn the previous round.

Darren Glass (West Coast Eagles) – Kept Demon Russell Robertson to two goals – both in the third term – and just three touches in the first half and none in the last quarter. Pivotal in the Eagles’ win.

HALF-BACKS
Daniel Wells (North Melbourne) – Played one of his finest matches against the Power. Spending much of his time across half-back, won 26 disposals and had a game-high seven rebounds.

Matthew Scarlett (Geelong) – Although star Swan Barry Hall wasn't helped by his side's delivery inside 50, it was largely Scarlett’s work that kept him to just five touches and one behind for the day.

Josh Drummond (Brisbane Lions) – One of the most underrated players in the game/ Again shone with his delivery and drive out of the back half against Richmond. Finished with an equal game-high six rebounds.
