Scott Thompson (North Melbourne) - Took another step to shaking his underrated tag with a fine display against Melbourne. Thompson had 21 touches, including a match-best 12 contested possessions and five rebounds.

HALF-BACKS
Jarrod Harbrow (Western Bulldogs)
- Statistically produced his best match for the Dogs, notching 36 disposals, including 14 contested. His poise and dash from defence was a highlight.

Sam Fisher (St Kilda)
- Not only kicked the match-winner, but kept in-form Bulldog Barry Hall to just six touches and one goal. Also had 24 disposals in a telling display.

Michael Firrito (North Melbourne) - Led from the front with a tough, uncompromising performance. Helped the Roos set up their first-half lead before finishing with 23 disposals.

CENTRES
Joel Selwood (Geelong Cats)
- Amassed a whopping 25 disposals, including 19 handballs in the first half against Richmond. Finished with 37 touches, including 14 contested, plus seven clearances and six tackles.

Jobe Watson (Essendon) - Set the tone with 10 touches in the first term against the Hawks, before finishing with 28 for the game. His clearance, tackling and contested work was outstanding.

Michael Barlow (Fremantle) - The nominated rookie continued his outstanding start to his AFL career with a best-on-ground performance that won him the Ross Glendinning Medal. Claimed 25 touches, 11 contested and laid eight tackles.

HALF-FORWARDS
Robbie Gray (Port Adelaide)
- Kicked a career-best five goals from nine scoring shots against Adelaide and was duly rewarded with the Showdown Medal. His two goals in the final quarter sealed the win.

Lance Franklin (Hawthorn) - One of the few highlights for the Hawks from an otherwise disappointing night. Booted five goals from eight scoring shots and had five inside 50s.

Paul Chapman (Geelong Cats) - The 2009 Norm Smith Medallist was brilliant with his mix of ball-winning ability (33 disposals) and opportunistic play up forward and in the midfield (two goals, five scoring assists and seven inside 50s).

FORWARDS
Steve Johnson (Geelong Cats)
- Prominent in the first term, claiming 10 touches, before finishing with 26 touches and five goals, including three in the final term, from eight scoring shots.

Daniel Bradshaw (Sydney Swans) - Playing against his former side, Bradshaw booted six goals - including a barreling torp from 60 metres - to trump ex-teammate Jonathan Brown (four goals) and new Lion Brendan Fevola (four).

James Podsiadly (Geelong Cats) - One of the feel-good stories of the season continued as the former VFL star dominated with five goals, including three in the second term. He has now kicked 12 goals from four matches.

FOLLOWERS
Aaron Sandilands (Fremantle)
- Continued his brilliant season and his reaffirmed his status as the best performed ruckman in 2010. Won 33 hit-outs and has now smashed 220 for the season, with Melbourne's Mark Jamar (173) next best.

Chris Judd (Carlton)
- The superstar was brilliant for the third week in succession, winning 37 disposals, including a remarkable 18 contested. Had 10 inside 50s and 11 clearances, despite playing in a losing side against Collingwood.

Dane Swan (Collingwood) - Shone on the big stage once again - and not just because of his newly shaven head - with 31 disposals, seven clearances, eight tackles and six inside 50s. Also kicked a brilliant long bomb.

INTERCHANGE
Luke Ball (Collingwood)
- The former St Kilda co-captain played his best match yet for his new team, kicking three goals and collecting 20 disposals. Laid eight tackles and had five clearances.

Lenny Hayes (St Kilda)
- Always leads from the front, but in the absence of superstar skipper Nick Riewoldt, the midfielder seemed to rise another notch, winning 35 touches, seven clearances and seven tackles.

Jude Bolton (Sydney Swans) - The tough-nut midfielder showed his courage yet again, suffering two knocks before playing on and kicking two goals. Had 10 contested possessions from 20 touches.

Nathan Lovett-Murray (Essendon)
- Probably played the best match of his 103-game career, winning a personal-best 32 disposals, including 11 contested.
