IN A NEW weekly video series exclusive to AFL.com.au - Personal Best - Hawthorn's Luke Hodge names the most courageous players he has seen on a footy ground.

The Hawk skipper, no slouch himself in the courage stakes, kept his list to players from opposition teams, so that he could have some peace and quiet next time he walks through the rooms at Waverley Park.

Asked to list his top 10, Hodge actually submitted 11 names, unable to split Chris and Brad Scott, formerly the hard men of the Brisbane Lions and now the coaches, respectively of Geelong and North Melbourne.

"I couldn't tell them apart when they used to beat me up," Hodge said.

Others to be listed by Hodge include Barry Hall ("scary as hell"), Glenn Archer ("the heart and soul of his footy club") and Lenny Hayes ("If he got knocked over, he would go twice as hard at the next contest").
