THIS week on Personal Best, St Kilda midfielder Leigh Montagna was charged with compiling the top 10 AFL players with multicultural backgrounds over the past 25 years.

It was a task the AFL Multicultural Ambassador took to with great gusto and he has come up with an eclectic list of players that could dominate in all positions on the ground.

West Coast's Glen Jakovich (Croatian background) and Carlton's Stephen Silvagni (Italy) are his defenders. West Coast pair Daniel Kerr (India) and Peter Matera (Italy), with Mark Ricciuto (Italy) are his midfielders, while Jim Stynes (Ireland) feeds them in the ruck.

Collingwood's Peter Daicos (Macedonia), St Kilda's Nick Riewoldt (Germany) and Italy's Saverio Rocca (Italy) are the goalkickers on his list while Carlton's Anthony Koutoufides (Greece/Italy) could play pretty much anywhere on the ground.

Just about any of the above could have been the No.1 on Montagna's list, but one of those listed above is particularly decorated and tops his list. To learn his identity, click here.
