CAMPBELL BROWN may have a year left on his Gold Coast playing contract, but with an eye to his future has spent some time honing his football commentary skills.

So who better to sit in the Personal Best hot seat and rank the 10 best pieces of footy TV commentary in the last 50 years?

Not surprisingly, Dennis Cometti features in Brown's top 10, starting with his "All's well, that ends well," call of Cyril Rioli's big goal in the 2008 Grand Final, as well as his "Fairytales do come true!" commentary in jason McCartney's comeback game of 2003.

Sandy Roberts also features prominently, as does Bruce McAvaney's whose excited call of a goal by Richmond's Matthew White of a goal against Port Adelaide at Etihad Stadium in 2010, left Brown in hysterics.

Jason Bennett, Anthony Hudson, Stephen Quartermain and the great Mike Williamson also feature on Brown's list.
