VETERAN forward Michael Osborne is set continue with Hawthorn into a 13th season.

Osborne is out of contract, but his manager Liam Pickering said on Thursday a new deal would be agreed upon in the coming weeks.

"He'll be sorted … he'll play for Hawthorn next year," Pickering told AFL.com.au's Trade Radio on Thursday afternoon.

"They're a pretty loyal club, so I'm not surprised that's the case.

"I was never really worried about 'Oz'.

"Hawthorn have given me a guarantee that he'll be on their list next year and we'll try and sort that out with the club over the next couple of weeks."

Osborne's 2012 season was cut short when he tore his anterior cruciate ligament against Melbourne in round seven.

He underwent a knee reconstruction, which kept him sidelined as Hawthorn progressed to the Grand Final.

The 30-year-old has played a total of 163 games in brown and gold, including the 2008 Grand Final win, and booted 107 goals.
