FREMANTLE
Hampered by injury, Fremantle's midfield was slow to get going in its first season under Ross Lyon, and that was reflected in its fantasy averages – not a single Freo player averaged more than 100 last year. But if the team's form in the latter half of 2012 is any guide, there could be bargains to be found from the Fremantle ranks in 2013. Michael Barlow and Nat Fyfe head that list, provided they can stay fit. Lyon's defensive gameplan doesn't necessarily make for the best fantasy scoring, but there is quality to be found. - Mark Macgugan

2013 position: Fwd
Mr Fantasy says: Seemed to find a second wind under first-year coach Ross Lyon last season. Still a big force and a viable forward option.

85
2013 price: $436,000
2013 position: Mid

Michael Johnson
2012 average score:
83
2013 price: $425,000
2013 position: Def
Mr Fantasy says: Smooth-moving defender who is capable of some nice scores, but is still inconsistent for my liking.

Matthew de Boer
2012 average score:
84
2013 price: $434,000
2013 position: Mid/Fwd
Mr Fantasy says: His value increased after he had a very solid 2012, so it might pay to look elsewhere.

David Mundy
2012 average score:
88
2013 price: $451,800
2013 position: Mid
Mr Fantasy says: It seems we never really get to see the best of Mundy because of injury, but he is certainly all class at his best. Fairly priced.

Tendai Mzungu
2012 average score:
77
2013 price: $396,000
2013 position: Mid
Mr Fantasy says: Handy player who now might be a little overpriced after an up and down 2012. I would look elsewhere.

Paul Duffield
2012 average score:
83
2013 price: $426,800
2013 position: Def
Mr Fantasy says: Seemed a little below his best in 2012, but finished strongly with four consecutive 100-plus scores. Well-priced and worth a look.

Chris Mayne
2012 average score:
74
2013 price: $380,500
2013 position: Fwd
Mr Fantasy says: Averaged almost 74 last season. Starting to play more consistently but can still go missing.

Luke McPharlin
2012 average score:
72
2013 price: $371,400
2013 position: Def
Mr Fantasy says: Generally uses the ball well off back-half but is injury-prone and I would pass.
