A COLLINGWOOD club member has apologised to Sydney Swans players Adam Goodes and Lewis Jetta for using 'racially loaded language'.

The Magpies have revealed in a club statement that they met with the member on Monday.

YouTube footage, which emerged over the weekend, showed the Magpie fan in theupper deck of the MCG's Southern Stand, shouting racially charged comments.

"As a result of the meeting, a confidential understanding was reached which will see the man participate in education and counselling related to racial vilification," the club said in a statement.

"An apology to Sydney players Adam Goodes and Lewis Jetta has also been written"

The club cited privacy reasons for not revealing any further details.
