What the club says
"We really just came in thinking we'd get the best available talent, we knew it was a pretty even bunch of players and we'd have some decisions to make at each choice, and we've ended up with a mix. They're all different types of players so it's been good for us.All the players we drafted this year have got a long way to go with development but with a pre-season and some good coaching, who knows what 2014 holds for them." Stephen Wells, recruiting and list manager

Pick 16 – Darcy Lang
"He broke his leg this year in the championships and didn't play again but from all medical reports, including ones as late as yesterday, he'll have a 100 per cent recovery and he should be fine. He's well into his rehab at the moment and it shouldn't affect his career. He came onto our radar at the start of last year when he first started playing with the Geelong Falcons, which was when we noticed he might be a potential draftee for this year, and he was playing very good football as a midfielder in the first half of this season." Stephen Wells

36 – Jarrad Jansen
"He came onto our radar at the start of this year when he started playing good consistent football for East Fremantle Colts, and then he did a good job for the WA under-18 as well. He's a genuinely big bodied midfielder – he's 192cm tall – and has a terrific attitude, good speed, and a great attitude to the contest." Stephen Wells

41 – Jake Kolodjashnij
"Jake earned a chance in his own right [away from his twin brother Kade]. He played key position football at senior level in Tasmania as well as doing a good job in the under-18 championships. There's no concern about [the twins wanting to reunite]; they're both very excited to get their opportunity and we think it will work out ok." Stephen Wells

54 – Josh Walker (promoted rookie)
