FORMER Bomber Stewart Crameri is set to make his much-hyped debut for the Western Bulldogs in Wednesday night's NAB Challenge clash with St Kilda at Simonds Stadium.

The Bulldogs actively chased Crameri in last year's trade period and were satisfied when they landed their man for pick 26 (Zach Merrett) in the 2013 NAB AFL Draft.

The 25-year-old has been a solid addition to the Bulldogs' forward line and fans could even see him spend some time in the midfield after being trialled there at stages during the pre-season.

Saints fans will also have a chance to watch their club's newest recruits in action – with former Lion Billy Longer and ex-Sun Maverick Weller named in Wednesday night's team.

Backline recruits Luke Delaney (North Melbourne) and Josh Bruce (Greater Western Sydney) will be in charge of leading the defence in the absence of Sean Dempster, Sam Fisher and James Gwilt.

Exciting draftees Jack Billings (No.3 pick overall) and Luke Dunstan (No.18 overall) will also turn out for their first official games in Saints colours.

The young pair were among the Saints' best in the club's intra-club practice match more than a week ago and the game against the Bulldogs is a chance for them to shore up a round one spot.

However, a number of stars will be missing from both sides.

Bulldogs captain Ryan Griffen has not been named as the club takes a cautious approach after the star midfielder complained of back tightness a week ago.

Saints veterans Nick Riewoldt and Lenny Hayes will also sit on the sidelines.
