The AFL wishes to advise the Tribunal will sit tonight from 5pm, Tuesday April 22, to hear the charge laid against Adelaide’s Richard Douglas by the Match Review Panel from the Round 5 match between Adelaide and Greater Western Sydney played at the Adelaide Oval on Sunday April 20, 2014.

Please also find below the detail of those sanctions accepted relating to the first eight matches of Round 5 – an update on the Match Review Panel’s review of Monday’s Geelong Cats v Hawthorn match will be available later today.

Richard Douglas, Adelaide, has been charged with Rough Conduct against Callan Ward, Greater Western Sydney, during the second quarter of the Round Five match between Adelaide and Greater Western Sydney played at the Adelaide Oval on Sunday April 20, 2014.  

Sanctions Accepted:

Scott Thompson, North Melbourne, has accepted a one-match sanction for striking Travis Cloke, Collingwood, during the first quarter of the Round Five match between North Melbourne and Collingwood played at the MCG on Saturday April 19, 2014.

Darren Glass, West Coast Eagles, has accepted a one-match sanction for engaging in rough conduct against Chad Wingard, Port Adelaide, during the fourth quarter of Round Five match between West Coast and Port Adelaide played at Patersons Stadium on Saturday April 19, 2014. 

Hayden Ballantyne, Fremantle, has accepted a reprimand and 93.75 demerit points for striking Rhyce Shaw, Sydney, during the second quarter of the Round Five match between Fremantle and Sydney played at the SCG on Saturday April 19, 2014.

Hayden Ballantyne, Fremantle, has accepted 93.75 demerit points (leading to a total of 187.5 demerit points across both charges and a one-match sanction) for kneeing Rhyce Shaw, Sydney, during the second quarter of the Round Five match between Fremantle and Sydney played at the SCG on Saturday April 19, 2014.

Toby Greene, Greater Western Sydney Giants, has accepted a one-match sanction for striking Richard Douglas, Adelaide, during the second quarter of the Round Five match between Greater Western Sydney and Adelaide played at the Adelaide Oval on Sunday April 20, 2014.

Adam Schneider, St Kilda, has accepted a one-match sanction for striking Mark Baguley, Essendon, during the second quarter of the Round Five match between St Kilda and Essendon played at Etihad Stadium on Saturday April 19, 2014.
