THIS year's draft has shifted back to its Thursday night timeslot, with the pre-season and rookie drafts also moved.

The League had notionally booked in Monday, November 24, for the NAB AFL Draft when the Gold Coast Convention Centre was unavailable for later in the week.

However the venue has opened up and the AFL has confirmed the draft will take place on Thursday, November 27, at the Gold Coast for the third consecutive year.

This will also create a larger gap between it and the International Rules Series match, which will be played in Perth on November 22.

The switch of dates means other key events of the post-season will also change, with the pre-season and rookie drafts taking place via teleconference on Wednesday, December 3.

A delisted free agency window has been extended due to the adjustments. It will open on Friday, November 28 and run through to 2pm on Monday, December 1.

Clubs will have until December 5 to lodge their final lists for the 2015 season.
