COLD: Brock McLean was Carlton’s lowest-scoring player to play a full match last round. He has dropped 66 places since the start of the year to 218th overall. Geelong star Mathew Stokes picked up just 10 disposals in last weekend's win over Fremantle. As a result, he fell from 64th overall to 72nd.
 
Sydney Swans v St Kilda


HOT: Swans veteran Adam Goodes has nine goals and seven assists in his last five games against St Kilda. Saints youngster Tom Curren was his team's top-scoring player against the Swans in round 21 last year with 17.6 points – his career-best.
COLD: Swans midfielder Dan Hannebery has averaged just 6.8 player ratings points against St Kilda – his lowest against any side. Saints midfielder Leigh Montagna averages 8.6 points against the Swans, compared to 13.5 against all other teams combined.
 
Gold Coast Suns v Port Adelaide


HOT: Danny Stanley was Gold Coast’s top-scoring player against Port Adelaide last time they met with 20.2 points – his second-best ever game. Port's Matthew Broadbent averages 16.9 player ratings points from his last four games against the Suns – his best against any side.
COLD: Matt Shaw was Gold Coast’s lowest-scoring player on the weekend, with just nine disposals. Power forward Jay Schulz was ranked 40th in the competition for average points in the first 16 rounds. Since then he ranks 423rd.
 
Essendon v West Coast Eagles


HOT: Essendon midfielder Dyson Heppell ranks sixth in the competition for average points in the past month. Star Eagle Matt Priddis was the fourth-highest scoring player last week with 26 points against Collingwood.
COLD: Bombers key forward Joe Daniher has kicked multiple goals in just four of his 17 games this season. West Coast midfielder Chris Masten has dropped 26 places to 142nd overall since the start of the year.
 

Adelaide Crows v Richmond


HOT: Adelaide ruckman Sam Jacobs has averaged the fourth-most points of any player over the past month. Richmond captain Trent Cotchin has kicked a goal in each of his last three games against the Crows, as well as giving six score assists.
COLD: Defender Luke Brown was Adelaide’s lowest-scoring player on the weekend with just four disposals. Tigers veteran Chris Newman’s average over the past month is nearly 40 per cent below his output prior to round 17 this season.
 
Collingwood v Brisbane Lions


HOT: Collingwood defender Heritier Lumumba averages 16.3 player ratings points against the Lions – his best against any club. Lions midfielder Jack Crisp tallied a career-best 21.8 points against Adelaide – ranked 18th for the round.
COLD: Magpies forward Jamie Elliott has kicked three goals in his past three games. In his first 14 games this season he kicked 30. In three games against Collingwood, Lions midfielder Pearce Hanley has averaged just six points compared to 11.9 against all other clubs combined.
 
North Melbourne v Western Bulldogs


HOT: North veteran Brent Harvey has 10 goals and 18 score assists in his last six games against the Bulldogs. Dogs midfielder Shaun Higgins has averaged 12.3 player ratings points against North Melbourne – his best against any club.
COLD: Roos defender Michael Firrito ranks 256th for average points per game in the last month. Between rounds one and 16 he ranked 29th. Dogs forward Stewart Crameri has kicked just three goals in his last five games against the Kangaroos.

HOT: Melbourne midfielder Dom Tyson ranks 37th in the competition for average points in the past month – the best at the club. Giants onballer Adam Treloar was best on ground last time the clubs met, in round three, with 33 disposals, 14 tackles and 11 clearances.
COLD: Dees hard-nut Jack Viney has averaged just 5.2 points against the Giants – his lowest against any club. GWS small forward Rhys Palmer has averaged just 6.2 points in the past month – 44 per cent down from his first 10 games this season.
 
Fremantle v Hawthorn


HOT: Fremantle superstar Nat Fyfe has been the highest scoring player in the competition over the last month. In-form Hawk Jordan Lewis has climbed 28 places to 49th overall in the past six weeks.
COLD: Freo skipper Matthew Pavlich was kept goalless by Geelong key defender Tom Lonergan last weekend. Ruckman Ben McEvoy was Hawthorn’s second-lowest scoring player last weekend.
