CARLTON is keen to finish the season strongly and a win against arch rival Essendon would end a disappointing 2014 on a positive note. After encouraging form in the second half of the season, the Blues put in their worst performance for the year against Port Adelaide last week. The Bombers are in a buoyant mood after stitching up a finals spot with their victory over Gold Coast last Saturday and the return of senior coach James Hird from a one-year suspension. They hope to regain star midfielder Dyson Heppell after having surgery on a broken hand. After Essendon embarrassed Carlton in round three, the Blues will be desperate for revenge.
