Cold: Hawks skipper Luke Hodge averages 17 disposals and 2.4 inside-50s per game against the Cats, compared to 24 disposals and four inside-50s against all other opponents. Cats speedster Steven Motlop ranked 25th for average points per 100 minutes of game-time in 2013. This year he is outside the top 100.
 
Sydney Swans v Fremantle



Hot: Midfielder Josh Kennedy was best on ground when the Swans beat the Dockers in round five. Kennedy tallied 38 disposals, 22 contested possessions and a goal. Freo ruckman Aaron Sandilands averages 15.6 points against Sydney – the best at the club. Sydney has conceded more hit-outs to advantage than any other club this year.
Cold: Swans onballer Kieren Jack started the year in sixth position overall but has since slipped to 12th. His kicking efficiency has dropped from 60 per cent to 54 this year. Dockers defender Paul Duffield averages 5.6 points against the Swans – his lowest against any team.
 

North Melbourne v Essendon

North big man Todd Goldstein is currently 19th in the overall standings – No.1 of all ruckmen. Essendon midfielder Brendon Goddard averages 29 disposals and a goal against North Melbourne. He kicked three goals when the teams met in round one.
Cold: Roos onballer Leigh Adams has dropped from 127th overall at the end of last season to 246th – the fourth-biggest drop of any player to play all 22 games during the home and away season. Bombers midfielder Brent Stanton has a career-high overall standing of 23rd. He currently sits in 129th position and ranks just 91st for total points this season.

Hot:
Port skipper Travis Boak moved into the top 10 for the first time in his career after round 23. He is ninth in the competition for total points this season. Richmond defender Alex Rance had a career-best game against the Sydney Swans on the weekend. He took seven intercept marks and had 12 spoils.
Cold: Power dasher Matt White ranked 53rd in the competition for average metres gained after round 17. Since then he ranks 180th. Tigers veteran Chris Newman was Richmond's third-lowest scoring player last weekend.
