We find your hot and cold players ahead of this weekend's prelims
Sydney Swans v North Melbourne
Hot: Lance Franklin leads the Swans for average player rating points since round 21. He has kicked 18 goals in his last three games. North midfielder Daniel Wells averages 16.4 points against the Swans – the best at the club. He was best on ground in round four with three goals and an assist.
Cold: Swans forward Sam Reid has kicked just one goal in his three games against the Kangaroos. He has 17 goals from 18 games this season. In his last three games against Sydney, Roos veteran Brent Harvey averages 15 disposals at 58 per cent efficiency. Against all other opponents in that time he averages 24 at 77 per cent efficiency.
Hot: Hawthorn midfielder Isaac Smith averages 17 uncontested possessions and 1.8 score assists per game against Port Adelaide, compared to 13.6 and 0.7 against all other opponents. Port skipper Travis Boak was shut out of the game last weekend by Ryan Crowley, but he was best on ground against Hawthorn in round 10 with 34 disposals, 10 clearances and a goal.
Cold: Since 2010 Shaun Burgoyne has averaged 9.5 player rating points against Port Adelaide – his lowest against any team. Power midfielder Hamish Hartlett has never reached 20 disposals in a game against Hawthorn and has no score assists from six games.
