NORTH Melbourne captain Andrew Swallow has been withdrawn from Sunday's NAB Challenge clash against Adelaide after an administrative error saw him mistakenly included in the Roos' squad.

Ruckman Todd Goldstein was also removed from North's squad on Thursday afternoon and replaced by forward Kayne Turner.

Swallow was included in North's 29-man squad when it was released on Thursday, but just hours later the Roos withdrew him and brought in key forward Ben Brown.

Roos, Crows match a sell-out

A North spokesman told AFL.com.au there were no fitness concerns surrounding Swallow.

He said the Roos had always intended to rest the skipper from Sunday's game at Port Lincoln, but an administrative error by the club's media team had seen the skipper named in the squad.
