The Melbourne Football Club is the oldest sporting club in the world and the founding club of the AFL. With over 30,000 members, the Club competes in a 22 round plus finals competition and is based at Australia’s sporting icon, the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The Club has gone through a period of significant change and has embarked on an exciting new journey to create a sustainable and ultimately successful sporting organisation.

We are seeking a Digital Video Producer with 2 to 3 years experience to join our dynamic team based at the MCG. Reporting to the Media Manager the successful applicant will be a self starter who will be responsible for producing the best video content in the AFL for Melbourne supporters.

Responsibilities include:-

  • Creating new and interesting digital content for www.melbournefc.com.au and other platforms to engage members and supporters
  • Filming all video content and photography shots.
  • Maintaining awareness of current and up-and-coming online video capture trends, technology and techniques.
  • Actively promoting and demonstrating a strong customer service ethic.
  • Match day and key event participation as required.

Successful candidates will have:-

  • Demonstrated video production experience using the latest technology in camera operation, editing and video graphics.
  • Fluency in the Adobe Production Suite for video, audio and photography production, After Effects experience preferred.
  • High level knowledge of video compression and experience with various codes and formats such as QuickTime, VMV etc.
  • An interest in sport and recreation (AFL is preferred).
  • Natural creative flair, originality and strong visual sense.
  • Ability to work autonomously to tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong work ethic.

Successful applicants will require a current Working with Children Check. There is also a requirement to assist on match days and other events as required by the Club, which include weekends.
