FORMER AFL CEO Andrew Demetriou heads a list of 13 former players, coaches, administrators and umpires awarded life membership at Wednesday night's AFL Season Launch.

Current coaches Leon Cameron and Brad Scott, players Nick Riewoldt, Jimmy Bartel, Nick Dal Santo, Corey Enright, Kane Cornes, former player Dean Cox and recent Adelaide coach Brenton Sanderson were presented with life memberships after achieving 300 AFL games.

Umpire Justin Schmitt and administrators Graeme Allan (who also played with Fitzroy and Collingwood) and Greg Miller were also honoured on the night with life memberships.

Experienced and respected administrator Shane O'Sullivan was also awarded the Jack Titus award after 35 years service to the game.

Demetriou resigned as CEO midway through last season after 10 years in the top job. He played 106 games with North Melbourne and Hawthorn between 1981 and 1988. He then worked as CEO of the AFL Players' Association before joining the AFL as its football operations manager.
