The club is presently seeking to appoint a dynamic professional to lead the Digital Media team. 

The Role

Reporting to the General Manager – Communications, Digital Media and Marketing, the Digital Media Manager will manage a small team and provide strategic and operational expertise to the business.

The primary responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement digital media strategies
  • Manage online channels and content
  • Assist in growing commercial online properties
  • Develop effective digital media reports and solutions to trends identified
  • Implement new innovative initiatives
  • Effectively manage the Digital Media team
  • Budget management
  • Stakeholder management – building and maintaining relationships 

You will take a collaborative approach to strategic planning with the Communications and Marketing departments. 

You

Our ideal candidate will have a good understanding of sport but also a strategic understanding of commercial content and the best mediums to deliver to fans.  They will have excellent communication skills; internally when leading their team and working across departments, and externally when connecting with our consumers and fans.

The successful candidate will have experience as a Video, Online Content Producer, in the sporting or sports entertainment/media industry. They will hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Multimedia, Digital Media or Film. Previous experience includes directly managing a team of people, and a willingness to roll up their sleeves to get the work done. Influencing skills are a must.

The role is full time and will require some weekend work.
