GOLD Coast's injury crisis has deepened, with prodigious talent Jack Martin (ankle), defender Seb Tape (knee) and young forward Jarrod Garlett (ankle) the latest to join the growing list.

Garlett will have surgery on a medial ligament injury in his ankle suffered in Saturday night's win against the Brisbane Lions, and will miss the rest of the season.

Martin is expected to miss one to two weeks, while luckless Tape will be sidelined for four to five.

Suns dump trio for disciplinary reasons

Gold Coast is already without midfield prime movers Gary Ablett (shoulder), Jaeger O'Meara (knee) and David Swallow (knee), along with free agent recruit Nick Malceski (knee).

To help ease the pain ahead of Saturday's match against Adelaide at Metricon Stadium, they will upgrade former Brisbane Lion Andrew Raines from the rookie list to cover Swallow's eight to 10-week absence.

Garlett will be placed on the long-term injury list, but the club is unlikely to upgrade anyone in the near future.
