CARLTON midfielder Nick Holman has accepted his one-match ban for striking, with all players accepting their Match Review Panel sanctions from round 17.

Holman was the only player suspended by the MRP this week, for striking Hawthorn forward Luke Breust, with five other players offered fines.

Hawthorn defender Josh Gibson is free to face Richmond this week after accepting a $1500 fine for his strike on Carlton's Blaine Boekhorst.

But it has left the star Hawks defender walking a tightrope as the Hawks prepare for a tilt at a third consecutive premiership, as it was the second time the Match Review Panel has fined him this year.

One more fine and Gibson will face an automatic one-week suspension after the left-arm jab to Boekhorst's stomach behind play.

Adelaide midfielder Richard Douglas was charged with engaging in rough conduct against Gold Coast's Matt Shaw and escaped with a $1000 fine, while North Melbourne skipper Andrew Swallow was also fined for rough conduct on Brisbane Lions youngster James Aish.

Swallow accepted a $1500 sanction as it was the second charge against him this season.

Jackson Macrae has accepted a $1000 fine for his bump on Collingwood half-back Brayden Maynard and Sydney Swans speedster Lewis Jetta was charged with rough conduct against West Coast's Elliot Yeo.

As it was Jetta's second run-in with the MRP this year he was forced to accept a $1500 fine with an early plea.

The match-day report against Tigers match-winner Dustin Martin was thrown out.

The panel assessed Mark Baguley's heavy tackle on Port Adelaide star Chad Wingard, which saw Wingard win a free kick for a 'dangerous tackle' after his head hit the ground.

It said there was "insufficient force" to constitute a report or lay a charge.
