The West Coast Eagles is a dynamic organisation that prides itself on its core values. We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our Community team in the role of Community and Partnerships Coordinator. Reporting to the Manager, Eagles in the Community the role will have a primary focus on developing and implementing the club’s community programs and managing the club’s charity partnerships. In addition the successful candidate will assist in the management of a portfolio of commercial partners. The core responsibilities of the role include:

Community Developments

  • Work closely with the Schools and Community Development team to ensure successful delivery of the clubs’ community programs.
  • Work closely with the Communications department to raise the awareness of the club’s community programs.
  • Assist with the development of new programs as determined by the Eagles in the Community team.

Charitable Partnerships

  • Administer the club’s donation request program in accordance with the donation guidelines.
  • Assist with ad-hoc charity/community opportunities.
  • Manage the charitable partnerships and coordination and implementation of club fundraising activities.

Commercial Partnerships

  • Assist with the day to day account management of the Principal Community partner and support partners to ensure the successful delivery of programmes and sponsor benefits.
  • Manage a portfolio of commercial partners.
  • Assist with ad-hoc commercial partner projects. This may include but is not restricted to marketing research, event activations, competitions, proposal and development.
  • Development of the investment of each partner, ensuring timely and professional delivery of contracted benefits and 85% partner satisfaction each season.

The successful candidate will have strong communication skills (both written and verbal, including high competence in public speaking and facilitating clinics and events), be well organised with the ability to plan and coordinate programs and clinics, be able to work independently and display a proactive, approachable, positive and enthusiastic attitude to work. Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications or a business related discipline will be highly regarded alongside strong computer skills and knowledge of the West Coast Eagles and the AFL.

There is a requirement for all full time staff to assist on match days and other events as required by the club, which includes weekends.  The remuneration and benefits provided factor in this requirement.
