AND THEN there were four.

Preliminary finals matches will be played over round 22 as NAB AFL Fantasy coaches look to book their place in the big dance next week. The equation is simple, win and you’re through, lose and you’re done for 2015.

Oh, and if there is a draw, whoever was ranked higher on the ladder prior to finals takes the Grand Final place.

However, it could be fun to see five minutes of extra time where coaches went head-to-head racking up as many Fantasy point as they could. Now that would be a good spectator sport.

Warnie and Roy are facing off this weekend in their Fantasy Classic league The Bacon Cup. It’s a shame they’re not competing next week as they have the two best teams.

As often happens in the real thing, this preliminary final could be the match of the season.

Roy will be hoping that Tom Mitchell and David Armitage are named tonight after holding them through the crucial semi-final last week while Warnie needs to make his Luke Hodge trade count.

Both Destroy and the Warne Dawgs will need to trade Hodge before lockout, and who they bring in could influence how the final pans out.

Then there's the small matter of Nat Fyfe for coaches to consider. He'll be burning a hole in thousands of squads this weekend unless they can make a trade.

Fantasy coaches will be hoping that there isn’t too much drama at team selection. With the possibility of some players resting as well as a few going in for season ending surgery, teams who have the best bench cover (and luck) will have the advantage in the penultimate round.

Thank the Fantasy Gods we have two trades to use per week!
