WEST Coast has named young key defender Tom Barrass alongside the returning Jeremy McGovern for Sunday's clash with Adelaide at Adelaide Oval.

A week after playing with no key defenders against the Western Bulldogs, the Eagles have selected two to combat the Crows' dangerous power forward duo of Taylor Walker and Josh Jenkins.

Sharrod Wellingham is out with an ankle injury and may miss two matches, while medium-sized defender Jackson Nelson has made way for Barrass.

Adelaide has made just the one change with young defender Jake Lever returning in place of Sam Shaw, who was omitted on Thursday.

Teams: this round's full line-ups

The Sydney Swans have confirmed Lance Franklin will play against St Kilda at Etihad Stadium on Sunday. It will be his first game since round 18 due to his back issue.

Gary Rohan and Tom Mitchell also return with Ben McGlynn playing in the NEAFL after missing three weeks with a hamstring injury.

Jake Lloyd, Dean Towers and James Rose, who kicked three goals in the final quarter last week, have all been omitted.

St Kilda won't be thrilled with Franklin's return after he kicked nine goals the last time the teams met. But the Saints have added some experience to their side with David Armitage, Sean Dempster and Dylan Roberton all back in after missing last week's draw with Geelong.

Adam Schneider is also in for his final AFL game against his old side. Tim Membrey is out with a shoulder problem, while Cam Shenton, Farren Ray and Josh Saunders have all been omitted.

Fremantle has named Matthew Pavlich to return from the Achilles issue that kept him out last week. He comes in at the expense of young key position prospect Alex Pearce.

Clancee Pearce has also been included alongside Ed Langdon who will make his AFL debut in Sunday's clash with Melbourne.

Langdon - the younger brother of Collingwood's Tom Langdon - was the Dockers' third round selection in last year's NAB AFL draft and has been rewarded for some very good form in the WAFL.

Nat Fyfe is out with a leg injury and Hayden Crozier has been omitted.

The Demons have made four changes to the side that lost to Carlton last week. Heritier Lumumba and Chris Dawes are missing with ankle injuries, young gun Angus Brayshaw has been rested and James Harmes has been omitted.

Ruckman Jake Spencer has been called up to help shoulder the load against Aaron Sandilands, while Neville Jetta and Matt Jones have also been named and Oscar McDonald – brother of Tom – will make his AFL debut.
