SYDNEY Swans star Lance Franklin has one more match to get through before his Tribunal record is wiped clean, with the forward one of 16 players going into round 23 walking the MRP tightrope.

Franklin was suspended for one match in round 23, 2013, for his bump on Nick Malceski, which combined with his one-match ban for rough conduct on Richmond's Shane Edwards this season gives him a bad record.

Any player suspended for at least two matches in the past two AFL seasons is handed an extra match on top of their next suspension, making it important for Franklin to stay out of trouble in the Swans' clash against Gold Coast on Saturday night.

The Hawks have four players – the most of any finalist – taking a bad record into the final home-and-away round, with stars Jarryd Roughead, Jordan Lewis, Luke Hodge and Brian Lake on the tightrope.

Mitchell and Josh Gibson have also been fined twice this season and will miss one match if they are fined again in 2015 for a classifiable offence, such as a low-impact strike to the body.

Other players with two fines to their name under the new three-strikes system are North Melbourne pair Michael Firrito and Andrew Swallow, Sydney Swans speedster Lewis Jetta and Fremantle star Nat Fyfe.

Fyfe is also in the delicate position of having a bad record, meaning any suspension would add an extra week to his final penalty if he is suspended between now and the Dockers' last match this season.
