AUSTRALIAN music legend Kate Ceberano will sing the national anthem at this year's Grand Final.

The iconic singer will be joined by veteran music man Mike Brady, who'll return to the MCG to perform his football anthem Up there Cazaly.

Ceberano is no stranger to the Grand Final stage, having performed at the 'G in the lead-up to the 2002 Brisbane Lions-Collingwood clash.

"It’s such an honour and privilege to be asked to perform, I’m truly thrilled," she said.

"I made my first Grand Final appearance in 2002 and feel very excited to have my daughter see her mum in the MCG singing our national anthem."

Brady said he was thrilled to be asked back.

"As an entertainer, I believe it is one of the greatest moments of one’s career to be able to sing in front of such a large audience on such an important day for the Australian community," he said.

The pair joins international artists Ellie Goulding and Brian Adams, who will headline the Virgin Australia pre-game show.

The Toyota AFL Grand Final is being played on Saturday 3 October. The first bounce is at 2.30pm.
