REALITY TV winner Johann Wagner has been delisted by Port Adelaide and veteran Tom Logan has retired as the club confirmed eight changes to its list.

Wagner, winner of the first season of football reality show The Recruit, was cut, as was fellow rookie Sam Russell, ruckman Jarrad Redden and forwards Mason Shaw and Mitch Harvey.

Combined with the departures of Kane Cornes and rookie Daniel Flynn earlier in the season, Port now has eight vacant places on its list.

Wagner featured in the NAB Challenge, but never broke through to play a senior game for the Power.

Logan forged a 117-game career after being initially drafted by the Brisbane Lions and became much admired at Alberton for an insatiable work ethic and a remarkable toughness.

His attack on the football was second to none at the Power and was this year awarded the Anthony Williams Memorial Trophy as the most courageous Magpies player in the SANFL.

Redden was considered the Power's No.1 ruckman heading into a round 10 clash against the Western Bulldogs in 2013, but a dislocated shoulder set in motion a series of injuries that would, ultimately, cost him his spot on the list.

He underwent five operations that season and further surgery on his knee ended his 2014 campaign.

Remarkably, the 24-year-old played one more senior game for the Power – in round two – 679 days after the game against the Bulldogs.

"I'd like to thank the boys for their hard work and we wish them all the best in the future," coach Ken Hinkley said.

"It's difficult when people leave the club at this time of year but these are the decisions that have to be made.

"All of these players will remain part of the Port Adelaide family."
