WEST Coast and Hawthorn players have escaped suspension for Saturday's premiership decider, with Hayden Ballantyne the only player fined out of the preliminary finals.

The Fremantle forward can accept a $1000 fine for tripping defender Taylor Duryea, after he lunged and clipped the Hawk's feet with no chance of tackling him.

The Match Review Panel graded his trip intentional conduct, low impact and body contact.

Michael Walters was cleared of striking Duryea after a match-day report, with his forearm to the defender's neck deemed to be of insufficient force after the Hawks submitted a favourable medical report.

Hawthorn wingman Isaac Smith might have awaited the MRP's verdicts nervously but he was cleared for a late spoil.
