FREE agent Scott Selwood will indicate whether he will seek a move to Geelong in the next 24 hours after a positive meeting with Eagles coach Adam Simpson

Selwood is weighing up whether to stay with the Eagles or join his brother Joel at Geelong and can seek a move as a restricted free agent.

The Cats are yet to table an offer for the 25-year-old, who was understood to be undergoing medical tests on Thursday that Geelong would first assess.

It is understood the Eagles are preparing for Selwood to leave, but the midfielder's manager Tom Petroro said no decision had been made.

"He's weighing up a decision between Geelong and West Coast, so whether to stay or come home," Petroro told NAB AFL Trade Radio.

"I would think that within the next 24 hours we'll have a definitive answer. There are some things that we need to work through at our end.

"The relationship between (Chris) Scott and Adam is quite strong and they've been really open and transparent through the course of the year."

Petroro said he was confident Carlton key position player Lachie Henderson would be able to make his way to Geelong via trade.

He suggested the Cats would need to give up more than their second round selection, however, to snare him, potentially with another player involved.

"He's a key position player who plays at both ends … I wouldn't know if there's another player involved but I wouldn't have thought pick No.28 gets it done," Petroro said.

"I think Geelong are astute enough to see that 2015 was a bit of anomaly on his form."

The Cats' first selection is pick No.9, but that could be tied up in a deal for Adelaide star Patrick Dangerfield if the Crows choose to match that Cats' free agency bid for the midfielder.

Petroro suggested future trading could become involved in a complicated series of deals for the Cats.
