AFL SportsReady currently has an exciting position available for someone wanting to pursue a career in the Retail industry. 

The successful applicant will be legally employed by AFL SportsReady, but will work on-site with North Melbourne Football Club and receive an accredited Retail qualification (on successful completion).

Reporting to the Head of Merchandise, the purpose of this role will be to support the development of the North Melbourne Football Club as part of their merchandise team.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Produce weekly, monthly and yearly reports as requested Merchandise Manager
  • Produce daily reports from the merchandise POS system.
  • Ensure all monies gathered through match day activities and member events are handled in accordance with the Finance Policy including full reconciliation, fraud prevention and theft management
  • Develop initiatives to increase the average yield per transaction at the Roo Shop and at Club matches and events.
  • Ensure contact data gathered through all customer interactions with the Club is added to the NMFC membership database
  • Undertake key retail operations including the Roo Shop at Arden Street, Game Day & Event Sales.
  • Ensure the Roo Shop at Arden Street is well presented and merchandise is displayed in accordance with the high standards of NMFC
  • Undertake all aspects of game day operations (including interstate and regional games)
  • Ensure stock level on hand meet key targets and older stock is sold within desired timeframes
  • Ensure all stock is accurately entered in the merchandise POS system on delivery
  • Perform regular stock-takes to ensure stock on hand matches the stock levels in the merchandise POS system

  • Previous retail experience

Preferred

  • Drivers Licence

SALARY

The successful candidate will receive:

  • National Training Wage Award ($19,000 - $25,000)  + 9.5% Superannuation
  • Fully funded qualification
