AFL SportsReady currently has an exciting position available for someone wanting to pursue a career in the Football/ Administration industry. 

The successful applicant will be legally employed Part time by AFL SportsReady, but will work on-site with Brisbane Lions Football Club (Melbourne offices- Etihad Stadium) and receive an accredited Business qualification (on successful completion).

Reporting to the Victorian Manager, the purpose of this role will be to support the development of the Brisbane Lions Football Club as part of their (Melbourne offices- Etihad Stadium) team.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide administrative support to Victorian events and activities as directed by Victorian Manager.
  • Be the key respondent to all members’ queries received from in-bound calls, emails, faxes, letters, and at the front counter. 
  • Make out-bound calls to prospective Victorian-based members and player sponsors in consultation with Membership department.
  • Assist with membership-related services on Victorian match-days and at events
  • Facilitate in-person membership renewals by liaising directly with the Membership department.
  • Provide administrative support for the Events department as required.
  • Provide administrative support for the Merchandise department as required.
  • Help coordinate Historical Society membership and events.
  • Help coordinate the activities of the Victorian based cheer squad in conjunction with Membership department.
  • Coordinate non match-day fan engagement opportunities in Victoria (big screens, training) 
  • Provide administrative support to football activities as directed by National Talent Manager
  • Edit vision as directed by National Talent Manager, National Recruiting Manager & AFL Pro-scout Coordinator
  • Be able to collate statistical (CIA) data analysis upon request
  • Understand the Club’s Aphex System and be able to undertake data entry and report compilations
  • Compile excel spreadsheets for football data
  • Assist in producing recruiting documents for events such as the AFL U18 National Championships, AFL Draft Combine, and AFL Trade Period
  • Help produce itemized minutes from weekly recruitment meetings
