INDIGENOUS stars turned on the highlights for Sir Doug Nicholls Round and Eddie Betts, Cyril Rioli and Chad Wingard have all been selected in the AFL's Team of the Week, brought to you by Accor Hotels.

Adelaide's Betts and Hawthorn's Rioli both kicked five goals for their respective sides, while Wingard was outstanding for Port Adelaide in Alice Springs.

Not to be outdone by the little men, Port's Charlie Dixon, Adelaide skipper Taylor Walker and West Coast gun Josh Kennedy all matched the exploits of Betts and Rioli this week. 

Collingwood's Jeremy Howe continued his strong form in defence, while Bulldog Easton Wood was equally great at the opposite end, and they're joined down back by Crow Daniel Talia, Swan Heath Grundy, Carlton's Sam Docherty, and Port youngster Darcy Byrne-Jones.

Jordan Lewis celebrated game 250 for the Hawks in style, with Bulldog Jackson Macrae and Blue Bryce Gibbs also impressive, with Swans pair Kurt Tippett and Tom Mitchell and Richmond gun Dustin Martin the starting ruck. 

Bulldog Luke Dahlhaus, Josh Kennedy from the Swans, Saints tackling machine David Armitage and Collingwood skipper Scott Pendlebury round out this week's team off the bench.

DARCY BYRNE-JONES (Port Adelaide) – The 20-year-old in just his eighth game was fantastic in defence with 23 touches and a goal against Melbourne, providing plenty of rebound.

HEATH GRUNDY (Sydney Swans) – The veteran kept North Melbourne key forward Drew Petrie goalless from just six possessions to continue his great form down back this season.

EASTON WOOD (Western Bulldogs) –The stand-in skipper was almost impassable at half-back for the Bulldogs, taking 13 marks and even sneaking forward for an inspirational goal in the final term.

JEREMY HOWE (Collingwood) – Produced another quality performance in defence for the Pies, racking up 28 disposals and 11 rebound 50s at the MCG.

DANIEL TALIA (Adelaide) – Had the better of his duel with star Giant Jeremy Cameron, and also provided plenty of drive for the Crows with 20 possessions.

SAM DOCHERTY (Carlton) – One of the driving forces behind Carlton's resurgence, the attacking defender gathered 30 touches and took eight marks against the Cats.

JACKSON MACRAE (Western Bulldogs) – The hard-running Bulldog had 32 possessions at 75 per cent efficiency, had five clearances and laid 10 tackles against Collingwood.

JORDAN LEWIS (Hawthorn) – It was a 250th game to remember for the four-time flag winner, who had a game-high 42 possessions and nine clearances against the Lions.

BRYCE GIBBS (Carlton) – All Australian form has turned into Brownlow Medal touch for Gibbs, his 34 touches, nine clearances and two goals against Geelong simply brilliant.

CYRIL RIOLI (Hawthorn) – Bounced back from a quiet game against the Swans in style at the Gabba, his nine tackles and five goals crucial for the Hawks. 

JOSH KENNEDY (West Coast) – After welcoming his first child to the world before the game, the star Eagle celebrated with another five goals and 10 marks against the Suns.

CHAD WINGARD (Port Adelaide) – Forgot to pack his kicking boots for the trip to Alice Springs, finishing with 2.4 against the Demons, but was a constant threat for the Power.

EDDIE BETTS (Adelaide) – Booted five goals to get the better of his duel with star Giant Heath Shaw, with his individual effort in the third quarter one of the goals of the year.

CHARLIE DIXON (Port Adelaide) – The Power big man was the best key forward on the ground and took his season tally to 26 goals with another five against Melbourne.

TAYLOR WALKER (Adelaide) – Adelaide's captain inspired his side with three goals in the opening term and finished with five against GWS, as well as 10 marks.

KURT TIPPETT (Sydney Swans) – Took on the competition's best ruckman and won the battle against North's Todd Goldstein in another encouraging performance.

DUSTIN MARTIN (Richmond) – The Tiger powerhouse is in rare form and dominated the young Essendon onballers with 38 disposals, with his kicking a highlight. 

TOM MITCHELL (Sydney Swans) – Had a game-high 41 touches, 10 tackles, five clearances and a goal against the Kangaroos, proving belongs among the League's best midfielders.

LUKE DAHLHAUS (Western Bulldogs) – Another standout game from the Dogs midfielder, who picked up 37 disposals and gave his side enormous bite around stoppages all day. 

JOSH KENNEDY (Sydney Swans) – As usual was at his best inside and gathered 35 disposals, 22 of them contested, seven clearances and laid 12 tackles against North.

DAVID ARMITAGE (St Kilda) – The star Saint had an astonishing 17 tackles against Fremantle, but also managed to pick up 28 possessions in his side's solid win. 

SCOTT PENDLEBURY (Collingwood) – The skipper was brilliant for the Pies, especially in the first half against the Dogs, and finished the day with 32 touches and a classy goal.
