PORT Adelaide bookends Jay Schulz and Jack Hombsch will return for Friday night's clash with Richmond at the Adelaide Oval.

Power coach Ken Hinkley revealed the news to FIVEaa on Tuesday.

"We'll have Hombsch back into the side, will have Schulz back into the side for the first time since round one," Hinkley said.

Schulz returned through the SANFL a fortnight ago and slotted two goals, with the Port Adelaide Magpies having a bye last week.

The contest against the Tigers will be only the second time Schulz and Port recruit Charlie Dixon have taken to the field together in a match for premiership points.

A hamstring strain has kept Hombsch out for four games. He was injured in the last quarter of the round 10 win against Melbourne.

The Power are in ninth spot at 6-7. The Tigers share the same record but have a percentage almost 20 points lower.
