THE GAME'S champion forwards will be on display for the EJ Whitten Legends Game, with North Melbourne legend Wayne Carey and Adelaide high-flyer Tony Modra for the Allies coming up against Hawthorn great Dermott Brereton and Sydney Swans premiership captain Barry Hall for Victoria.

Brisbane Lions hero Jonathan Brown has already been confirmed as captain of the Victorian team while Richmond champion Matthew Richardson will skipper the Allies.

The match will take place at Etihad Stadium on Friday, September 2, during the bye week before finals, to raise money for prostate cancer research and awareness.

There will be no shortage of attacking firepower, with 1999 Coleman medallist Scott Cummings and three-time premiership forward Cameron Mooney also taking to the field for the Allies, while Brad Johnson (Western Bulldogs) and Daniel Bradshaw (Lions) will wear the Victorian jumper.

However, the Allies' Daniel Southern (Dogs), Richard Champion (Lions) and Luke McPharlin (Fremantle) will be among those doing their best to restrict the damage, while Victoria has Mick Martyn (Kangaroos) and Chris Tarrant (Collingwood) in defence.

Fans looking for excitement from the smaller types won't be disappointed – dual Norm Smith medallist Andrew McLeod, West Coast wingman Peter Matera and Lions star Jason Akermanis will wreak havoc for the Allies.

Victoria will be well placed to stop them, with 2011 premiership skipper Cameron Ling, Brownlow medallist Tony Liberatore and Magpie Paul Licuria able to play shutdown roles.

Carlton's Anthony Koutoufides looms as Victoria's potential matchwinner, while his former teammate Brendan Fevola is injured but will be a runner.
