SUMMARY
The Power will be hoping they can draw on the emotion of the Showdown to take down their cross-town rivals. Last weekend's 40-point loss to Melbourne officially ruled the Power out of finals contention. All they have to play for is pride while some players have two games to show they deserve to remain at the club next year. It's been a disappointing campaign for a side that has performed below expectations. Instead, it's the Crows who have premiership aspirations and are charging towards a top-two berth. The equation is simple for Don Pyke's men – keep winning ahead of a deep run into September. The Crows have barely had to get out of second gear in the past three weeks with easy victories against the bottom three sides in the competition. The Power will leave nothing in the tank for what is essentially their grand final, but it's hard to see them seriously challenging the Crows when the game is up for grabs.

THE SIX POINTS
1. Showdown 40 in round two was over by half-time as the Crows kicked 13 goals to four in the first half and led by 51 points at the main break. Tom Lynch, Eddie Betts and Josh Jenkins kicked 15 goals between them.

2. Adelaide continues to be the highest scoring side in 2016, averaging 115 points per game. In the last three weeks, the Crows have kicked 70 goals to just 26 for their opponents.

3. Port Adelaide and Adelaide meet for the 41st time and the Power hold a narrow advantage with 21 wins to 19. However, the Crows have won three of the last four.

4. Both teams have been strong clearance sides this season. Adelaide is ranked fourth with 38.7 per game just ahead of Port Adelaide, who are fifth with an average of 38.3.

5. Adelaide has been impressive at home this season winning nine of 10 matches with three by more than 80 points. Since the start of 2015, the Crows have won 17 of 21 games at the venue.

6. Tough inside midfielder Ollie Wines improved to 45th overall on the Schick AFL Player Ratings. The fifth-highest ranked player at the Power, Wines had 30 disposals and six tackles in last week's 40-point loss to Melbourne.

IT'S A BIG WEEK FOR … Eddie Betts.
The star goal sneak will be aiming to celebrate his 250th game in style with another victory over the archrivals. Betts has kicked 60 goals this season at an average of three per game and needs another four to beat his career-high set last year.

PREDICTION: Adelaide by 60 points.
