STAR Western Bulldogs forward Tom Boyd has suffered an ankle injury against Fremantle at Domain Stadium on Sunday.
The high-profile recruit went down after attempting a spoil late in the first quarter, landing awkwardly on his left ankle.
The trainers immediately carried the Dog off the ground for treatment on the sidelines before he limped off into the rooms at quarter-time for further assessment.
Acting skipper Easton Wood suffered an injury from a similarly innocuous incident in round 22.
Boyd returned to the field midway through the second term.
