IN WHAT is a League first, AFL chief Gillon McLachlan is hosting a Q&A with fans via our @AFL Twitter account today from 5pm AEST.

McLachlan will respond to a variety of questions using a video tweet LIVE from the AFL House boardroom, thanks to Twitter Australia.

It is the first time fans will have direct access to McLachlan who became the AFL's CEO in 2014.

Fans can submit their questions using the hashtag #AskGill on Twitter, or tweeting directly to the @AFL account.

From premiership predictions, to fixture questions, to various hot topics, the CEO will be available to speak on all the biggest stories in the AFL.

McLachlan will also make a special announcement regarding the Virgin Australia Pre-Game Show and Premiership Party on Grand Final day.
