VETERAN Western Bulldogs defender Dale Morris has brushed off injury concerns over his foot after a pre-bounce drama at the preliminary final.

While the rest of the team practised its goalkicking ahead of the clash against Greater Western Sydney, the 33-year-old was in the hands of the club physiotherapist just minutes before the opening bounce, appearing to have his foot looked at.

However, on Monday he sought to allay concerns that he would miss the Grand Final against the Sydney Swans, citing an issue with his footwear.

Roughead's vision still hazy, but he's hopeful

"The heel-raises I had in my boot had gone rock-hard, so I needed a changeover," Morris said at the club's media call.

"The physio was stressing trying to find them because we had the anthem coming up. My mum rang me after the game and was stressed that I had done something."

Heel-raises are wedges put into boots to relieve the strain on ankles, Achilles tendons and calves.

"It got blown up into something that it's not, unfortunately," Morris said.
