Membership Manager

The Gold Coast SUNS are committed to bringing a sense of belonging, connection and pride to the Gold Coast and a strategy has been developed in the off-season to achieve this. A critical part of this strategy is recruiting an experienced and enthusiastic Membership Manager to reward our existing members while growing our member base.

Reporting to the General Manager – Consumer and Community, this role is also responsible for the supervision and development of our Membership Sales and Service team.

The Membership Manager will be responsible for:

  • Managing the existing 2017 membership campaign with an eye to create new strategies for the future;
  • Developing sales strategies to convert fans and supporters of the Gold Coast SUNS to current members;
  • Building a new sales and service model to retain members;
  • Inspiring the Membership Sales and Service team to achieve both team and individual KPI’s; and
  • Managing all match day Membership activities focussing on customer sales and service opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong personal brand which personifies the GCFC values of bold, fresh, relentless, dependable and community
  • The ability to lead, motivate, and influence a sales and service team
  • Proven experience meeting sales KPIs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate with people from a variety of backgrounds
  • Experience in a membership orientated organisation or supervising a sales team
  • Experience working in professional sport, live events or leisure and entertainment
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (desirable).
