HIGH-FLYING Adelaide has received a boost for its NAB AFL Women's premiership aspirations, with scans clearing marquee forward Kellie Gibson of a serious ankle injury.

Gibson is hopeful of taking her place in the Crows' side for Sunday's AFLW clash with Fremantle at Fremantle Oval.

The 20-year-old rolled her ankle in the opening minute of the Crows' thrilling three-point win against Carlton at Thebarton Oval last Sunday.

Gibson will be monitored over the next few days before a final decision is made on her availability.

The Crows and the Brisbane Lions are the only two unbeaten sides in the competition.

Crows utility Tayla Thorn is free to play after she was given a reprimand for front-on contact against Carlton star Brianna Davey.
