TIME flies when you're having fun, and what a fun year of footy it has been. We're now into the second half of the home and away season, with four clubs having their bye this weekend.

Draftstars doesn't stop, though. Here is your round 12 cheat sheet ahead of the remaining six games of the round. For more information visit draftstars.com.au.

Adelaide v St Kilda, Adelaide Oval, Friday night

The Saints have a horror record against the Crows, having won the previous six games between the sides (including three of the past four by more than 70 points). So our tip is to go hard on the Crows players. Brad Crouch (MID, $13,650) was the best Adelaide player in last week's loss to Geelong with 101 points, but there are plenty of other options.

Rory Sloane (MID, $16,600), despite being tagged, had 92 points and is averaging 116 for the season, while Matt Crouch (MID, $13,600) is averaging 102 for the year and is a reliable choice. Rory Laird (DEF, $13,050) was well down on his best last week – he averages 102 but scored just 65 points – so should rebound strongly. And if you're very brave, Hugh Greenwood (FWD/MID, $10,550) scored 94 last week and is averaging 80.7 in his first three games. Do you take the punt while he's still cheap?

The Saints should be fresh after their bye last week. Dylan Roberton (DEF, $12,750) continues to find the ball at will and is the club's leading scorer this season (averaging 105.5 points a game), while Seb Ross (MID, $14,300) has picked up at least 30 disposals in his past seven games. He'd be a unique Draftstars choice, and his 103-point average is better than handy.

Jack Billings (MID, $13,500) is in good form and has lifted his average to nearly 91 points a game, while Jack Steven's (MID, $14,350) 100-point average is also appealing from a Saints perspective.

Hawthorn v Gold Coast, MCG, Saturday

Ryan Burton (FWD, $13,600) has been a shining light for Hawthorn in what has been a gloomy season. In his second year, the talented Hawk has averaged 88.7 points in 10 games, and last week gathered a career-best 118 points against Port Adelaide.

It was an equal team-high alongside (who else?) Tom Mitchell (MID, $18,500), who continues to sit atop the competition leaderboard with a sparkling average of 128 points a game. He's expensive, and will cost you nearly 20 per cent of your salary cap (which needs to be shared among nine players), but he has had an amazing season. Jarryd Roughead (FWD, $11,450) hasn't been as consistent, but he scored 98 last week – his best tally since round seven.

Everyone should look to Gary Ablett (MID, $17,250) this week, as he has a good track record against the Hawks. No player in the AFL has averaged more disposals against Hawthorn since 2010 than Ablett. But if you're looking for an under-the-radar Sun, Jarryd Lyons (FWD/MID, $12,850) might be your man. The former Crow led the Suns' scoring last week in their win over West Coast with 133 points, and has a season average of 95.

Kade Kolodjashnij (DEF, $13,150) was also terrific with 113 points, while former Brisbane Lion Pearce Hanley (MID, $10,900) was back to his best with 121 points. In form, Hanley is a dangerous and damaging player, so watch for him in the second half of the year. Hanley could come good, but it might be premature to grab him after one strong game.

Brisbane Lions v Fremantle, Gabba, Saturday

The Lions will welcome back midfielder Tom Rockliff (MID, $18,700), and he has shown in the past he is excellent in his first game back after injury: he's scored 128, 88, 184 and 101 points in that order in the past four games having returned from a lay-off. He's definitely worth strong consideration.

Dayne Zorko (MID, $15,700) and Stefan Martin (RK, $15,150) have been brilliant Draftstars choices from the Lions this year, but there's a lack of depth in choices at the club. If you're not going with the big guns, it's probably safest to steer clear of the Lions as you fill your 'salary' line-up.

The Dockers weren't great last week against Collingwood, but Lachie Neale (MID, $13,700) was a standout from a Draftstars point of view as the only Fremantle player to crack the 100-mark. He is averaging 100 for the year, better than teammate Nat Fyfe (MID, $13,500), who gathered 99 last week but is averaging 92.

Bradley Hill (MID, $12,000) dropped back a notch last week with just 79 points after being a very popular choice in recent weeks, but Connor Blakely (MID, $14,100) continues to show he can find the ball. The third-year Docker's 92-point effort nudged his average to 88.7 for the season. He's worth a look and will always attract plenty of disposals.

Essendon v Port Adelaide, Etihad Stadium, Saturday night

About the only thing you can predict with confidence about the Bombers is that Zach Merrett (MID, $16,200) will hit triple figures in Draftstars most weeks. Last round was no exception for the midfield gun, with another 106 points added to his season tally. He's the competition's second-leading scorer in 2017 behind Tom Mitchell.

Jobe Watson (MID, $13,950) was back to his best last week against GWS with 122 points, and Tom Bellchambers (RK, $13,150) surprised with 110 points in the ruck. He has scored well in his three games this season – averaging 91 – and could be a cheaper ruckman choice. Be mindful that Dyson Heppell's (MID, $14,500) form has been up and down if considering the star on-baller.

Port has smashed some sides this season, so Essendon will need to keep key forward Charlie Dixon (FWD, $12,400) out of action to be a chance. Dixon scored 128 points last week in the Power's big win over Hawthorn and is averaging 106 over the past five games.

The Power midfield is tough to contain, so you should consider some of their big points scorers. Brad Ebert (MID, $15,150), Ollie Wines (MID, $14,350) and Jared Polec (MID, $13,850) all hit triple figures last week, while former Dee Jimmy Toumpas (MID, $11,600) managed 98 points in what was something of a surprise. If you picked him, credit to you because not many did.

Carlton v Greater Western Sydney, Etihad Stadium, Sunday

The Blues might still be placed in the bottom rungs of the ladder, but they're making progress. And they have some genuine A-grade Draftstars players on the list. Sam Docherty (DEF, $16,150) heads the group, having averaged an elite 116 points this season.

Marc Murphy (MID, $14,850) and Bryce Gibbs (MID, $16,300) should also be in your thinking as premium midfielders given their respective averages of 115 and 111, while Matthew Kreuzer (RK, $14,600) and Patrick Cripps (MID, $14,700) also average in triple figures. If you can't find a good scorer in that bunch of navy Blues, you're not trying hard enough.

There's no stopping Josh Kelly (MID, $16,100), although Carlton could deploy Ed Curnow (MID, $14,000) to quell his influence on Sunday. The Giants star posted 159 points last week – his fifth straight century. Midfield mates Dylan Shiel (MID, $13,650) and Lachie Whitfield (MID, $13,350) also did their part against the Bombers with scores above 115. Whitfield isn't getting much kudos, but has come back into the Giants' side in brilliant touch.

Another unheralded Giant is Zac Williams (DEF, $12,050). The speedy half-back was instrumental against Essendon last week with 131 points, which followed his 93-point game in round 10 against the Eagles. Keep him in mind for one of your two defensive spots.

Melbourne v Collingwood, MCG, Monday

Michael Hibberd (DEF, $13,750) has been a revelation since coming into Melbourne's side after injury delayed his start to the season. The defender has had at least 24 disposals in his six games for the Dees, and is averaging 94 points. In his first Queen's Birthday clash he should be one to consider strongly.

Cameron Pedersen (RK, $13,200) has also exceeded Draftstars expectations with his form since returning to the Dees' line-up as ruckman, with an average of 101 points. Compared to other Dees midfielders, Dom Tyson (MID, $13,600) isn't quite as popular with Draftstars coaches, but his 94-point average and lower price tag should place him in the mix.

Josh Smith (MID, $13,250) plays for Collingwood, the competition's biggest club, but he has a very low profile. He shouldn't in the daily fantasy community. His 131-point effort in last week's win over the Dockers should have caught plenty of attention. Smith has averaged 90 for the season.

All the big names performed well for the Pies and always do. But if you're looking for a more uncommon scoring source it could be Jordan De Goey (FWD/MID, $10,850). His score of 110 points was well above the 60s and 70s he had recorded in his four previous games, so it might be an outlier. Or he could be just about to hit top form.
