The Kangaroos limped to a 15th-placed finish, their lowest in the the expanded 18-team competition.

Only 52 per cent of Roos fans giving their verdict in an AFL.com.au end-of-season survey said they were happy with the long-serving coach.

Spearhead Ben Brown's breakout season was recognised by fans, who voted him far-and-away North Melbourne's best player.

Veteran ruckman Todd Goldstein struggled to hold his spot in the 22, and was named as fans' most disappointing player.
