THE 2017 AFL Grand Final will start at 2.30pm AEST on Saturday, September 30 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Adelaide, which finished first on the ladder at the end of the home and away season, will square off against Richmond in this year's decider.

It will be the Crows' first Grand Final appearance since they won the 1998 premiership, while the Tigers will appear in the AFL's showpiece game for the first time since 1982.

Richmond has not won the flag since 1980 and will be looking to end a 37-year drought on Saturday.
